Garlean scientist who developed the Resonant, an artificial Echo, and granted it to Fordola and Zenos. Killed in the battle for Ala Mhigo, Aulus was brought back through the same cloning technology developed for Solus. Upon waking, and angry to discover he himself had been the subject of such an experiment, he escaped back to Gyr Abania.But a question nagged at him. How had he returned from the Lifestream? By all accounts, he should have been forever lost. But the powers that be saw potential in this chaotic and questionable scientist. Was it A divine hand setting him on a path towards everything he could dream of and more? Or something more sinister?With the death of Emperor Varis, and the fall of the Empire into the Final Days, Aulus fled Garlemald, and is now trying to find his place in this new world.But as time went on, Aulus realized a flaw in the cloning procedure. The memories of the original Aulus were merely imprinted on a new soul, and one that hadn't been completely stripped of its memories. (Timeline: Post 7.1)Aulus is very cold and calculating, often conducting his experiments with very little emotion or regard for casualties. He spent years scorning personal relationships, preferring to focus on his work studying the Garlean genome. As a result, it's very hard for him to open up to anyone or to form any sort of personable relationships. Quick to temper, and easily annoyed, he has no time for idiocy.Enjoys having quiet while reading or examining a specimen, a mug of coffee always by his side.
